Prior to qualifying as a counsellor I worked in executive and leadership positions helping me to understand the struggles and stress associated with an ever demanding and insecure workplace. I qualified to help people to help themselves effectively, self medication doesn't solve problems it only distracts from them! My work is integrative, this means working with combined approaches. Those techniques help my clients investigate, learn, and change their situation through working within a defined model. It is all about gaining understanding and relating to enable positive changes.
What I CAN HELP WITH
I work with you; your experiences, concerns, anxieties, challenges, hopes, and potential. My approach is relational, it helps you to raise, recognise, and resolve difficulties you might be experiencing. Good relationships help us to manage and maintain good mental health through changes and challenges. When those are not working for you, my work aims to help you find a way that you can understand and use to navigate your life. My practice covers stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, and abuse, with the associated behaviours, thoughts, and feelings.
My core training is as an Integrative Counsellor. My Diploma is accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, from the Kent & Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust, Inter-Psyche Training Institute.
